The Friends of St. Winefride’s is a registered charity run by our dedicated parents in support of the school. Working closely with staff, they organise exciting events for both children and parents, fostering a strong sense of community while raising valuable funds.

Little Stars Partnership

Over the past few years, St. Winefride’s has been closely working with the local charity ‘Little Stars’. We are incredibly proud to work with and would like to share some words from them.

Pokemon Primary Football

This week, in partnership with the Pokemon Primary schools Cup, the children in ks2 will be starting a Playground League competition where pupils will earn Pokemon card packs by playing matches each week. The children also took part in House Football games with St Mary’s finishing in 1st place.

Reception Easter Egg Hunt

This morning, Reception class went outside for an Easter egg hunt. After finding their eggs, the children counted how many they had collected. They had an eggcellent time! Happy Easter!

Minsterley Eisteddfod 2026

What an end to a week of celebrating our students and their brilliance and commitment to the Performing Arts. Several pupils entered the 63rd Annual Eisteddfod in Minsterley Village Hall on Saturday and all were very entertaining! Reception’s Science Experiment

This week, in addition to helping with our Science stall, for Science Week, Reception were curious about plants, specifically how they grow. They held an experiment, by growing cress under different circumstances. They tried 3 different variables of light. No light, some light and loads of light.
