School Games Cross Country Success!

Yesterday, our Key Stage 2 pupils took part in the School Games Cross Country event at Shrewsbury Sports Village. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to represent the school and challenge themselves in a competitive environment.
Our Lower Key Stage 2 runners completed a 1km course, whilst the Upper Key Stage 2 pupils tackled a longer 1.6km route. Despite the muddy conditions and the busy, energetic start line, all of the children showed great determination and resilience, giving their very best effort throughout the races.
We were delighted to see several of our runners secure top 20 finishes, which is a brilliant achievement in such a large field. A special congratulations goes to Tallulah, who finished an impressive 8th, and Caitlin, who achieved an outstanding 4th place. Both pupils, from Year 3.
There were also fantastic team performances on the day. The Year 3 girls achieved an excellent 2nd place, while the Year 6 girls finished a very strong 4th overall.
Well done to everyone who took part. Your effort, teamwork and determination made us very proud!
