Year 5/6 Cricket 2026

Last week our year 5/6 cricket team took part in fixtures at Shelton cricket club. The team took part in 2 group matches, winning their first match against Mereside by an incredible 106 runs to 50. Our second game was a narrow loss despite taking 7 wickets and displaying some excellent bowling and fielding skills.

Great Success at Year 5/6 Rounders

This week our Year 5/6 Rounders team took part in a tournament at Mary Webb school. The team were outstanding, progressing all the way to the semi-finals, beating Long Mountain and Minsterley, eventually finishing in overall 4th place after a close defeat against Meole Brace.

Mini Vinnie’s Volunteer Work At Little Stars

Today, a group of our Mini Vinnies visited Little Stars HQ as part of National Volunteers Week. The children spent the day helping to label boxes, sort clothing donations, and stock pencil cases to support families in need. Year 3/4 Tag Rugby Tournament

Well done to our Year 3 & 4 for taking part in the tag rugby tournament recently, competing with lots of other schools. Bush day at Adcote School

Not exactly the Amazonian jungles or the Arctic tundra, but the grounds of Adcote School still challenged the survival skills of Year 6 this week at their annual Bushcraft Day. The children had a marvellous time camouflaging themselves, lighting fires and building dens and, just in case, learning first aid, returning to school happy, smelly

Gym Team Compete in National Competition

On Sunday, Mrs Cheadle took our Under 11 girls, Under 9 girls, and Arthur in Year 6 to Adcote School for the ISA National Team Gymnastics Championships. The children performed brilliantly throughout the competition. They competed in four pieces: set floor, vault, voluntary floor, and voluntary vault.
