Meet Madeleine – one of the St. Winefride’s Viking Raiders!
Last week, Year 5 and Year 6 went to the Shrewsbury Museum and Art Gallery and took part in a ‘Viking Raiders’ workshop presented by staff from the Museum. This linked to our new History topic on the Vikings. Our pupils listened to a presentation, enjoyed some re-enactment/raiding, handled some Viking artefacts, spun wool and even took part in acting out some Viking sagas, involving gods, giants, bearded bridesmaids and magical hammers!
Our thanks to Anna and all the fantastic staff at the Museum. Our pupils thoroughly enjoyed the chance to be immersed in a ‘living History’ environment.
