Mass for the Feast of the Annunciation
On Wednesday morning, our whole School Community came together to attend Mass in celebration of the Feast of the Annunciation, which represents a turning point in our salvation history, moving from the Old Testament prophets to the New Covenant, as we also look to the start of Spring and the end of Winter.
It was a lovely opportunity for us all to reflect on this special moment in the Church’s calendar, and we were incredibly proud of the way our children conducted themselves throughout the Mass.
Our whole School Community attended Mass, including our very youngest members of the community in Kindergarten and Reception. They behaved impeccably well, listening so carefully and showing great reverence and respect throughout. For children so young, this was particularly pleasing to see and a real credit to them, their families, and our staff.
The excellent behaviour of our pupils did not go unnoticed. Members of the public commented very positively on how beautifully the children conducted themselves, and Father Febin also remarked on how impressed he was by their attentiveness and behaviour during the Mass.
As a School, we are always proud to see our children live out the values of kindness, care, respect and unity, whilst demonstrating faith, and this morning they represented St. Winefride’s wonderfully.
Well done and thank you to all of our pupils.
