Mass for Lent

Our pupils, from Reception to Year 6 at gathered together this week for a special Lenten Mass, at Shrewsbury Cathedral, taking time out of our busy school day to really reflect on the meaning of Lent and what it asks of each one of us.

The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Febin, who guided us through exploring the themes of kindness, patience, and looking out for others. Lent is always a special time in our Catholic school community — a season of preparation, reflection and hope as we journey towards Easter. The children were reminded that small acts of love, carried out faithfully each day, can make a big difference to the lives of others.

Our pupils displayed great reverence and understanding, joining together beautifully in prayer and singing. Thank you to Fr. Febin, our School Chaplain and to the Cathedral, for helping guide us to share in a meaningful opportunity for our whole school family to pause, reflect and renew our commitment to living out our faith in practical ways throughout this Lenten season.
