The Shropshire Schools Primary Athletics Championship, held at Shrewsbury College, showcased the talents of our young athletes in Year 3 to 6. The event featured a variety of track and field competitions, where the children delivered remarkable performances, reflecting their dedication, determination and hard work.


Among the highlights, Grace achieved first place in the U12 80m race, while Izzy secured second place in the U10 event. The Under-10 girls’ team, consisting of Izzy, Amira, Remi, and Paulina, demonstrated excellent teamwork, earning third place in the shuttle relay. In the javelin event, Mylo and Isabella showed their prowess and throwing skills by finishing in second place.

etic skills. Additionally, Roni’s performance in the 800m was particularly noteworthy; she not only claimed first place but also broke her own record by shaving off four seconds, highlighting her incredible dedication to her running.


These achievements are a testament to the hard work and perseverance of all the participants. Each child should be immensely proud of their accomplishments. The event was a great success and we look forward to retaining some of these titles next year!
