Pupils at St. Winefride’s thought about Remembrance last week, as we talked about Remembrance Day in lessons and took part in a special School Assembly. Pupils thought about the poppy, as a sign of both Remembrance and hope for a peaceful future, united across faiths, cultures and backgrounds.

On 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the whole School Community came together to observe a two minutes silence in memory of all those who have been or are affected by conflicts around the world.

Pictured are Dexter, Max, Erin and Eloise from Year 5 and Year 6, who shared family histories linked to their topic of WW1 and Remembrance.
